OBT "Kitten" Breeding attempt #3

Well after kitten just molted, and had a couple meals. I decided to get the male out and shark tank him with her for a couple hours while I went out last night, when I came back I went ahead and let him out and see what happens. 3rd times the charm right?


This was the first time I've seen her out of her web burrow since she made it, and molted inside of it. This girl HAS to be 6". She is just massive. Her first molt with me 3 months ago measured 5.25" Last molt, I wasn't able to tell the size because I didn't know it happened, and it sat down there and hardened up with the legs curled out and there was no fixing it.


Once the male got onto her webbing, again SHE was the one who started drumming to him, which he returned, then they drummed to each other till they reached the top of her burrow.




The male is 5" him self, and still it seemed like he was too small for her, but also because of the way she came out of her burrow. He made 4 attempts to get the job done. All ended in failure.







Finally he decided to move and try a new angle and try to get the job done this time, and it was a SUCCESS!!! He first only inserted his right palp. But then gave her another push back, and he was able to get several long good inserts with both his right and left palps.














He was so good, that after she was paralyzed, hope these give you an idea to her size.











The male was sitting on the side of her KK, and thought maybe he needed to visit her one more time, but as soon as he touched her again, she snapped out of it, and he ran. After chasing him around in the tote I bred them in, I returned him to his home so he could feel more at home, and hopefully make a fresh sperm web. I'm going to tank him tomorrow night with my other female and see how that goes. If he makes it back alive from her, he'll get another days rest and revisit kitten.

Well all is well. I planned to pair her with him again last night, but I was too tired when I got home. So I'll be planning for tonight. I did breed him successfully with my second female, still have to make a thread about that. He made a sperm web and is loaded and ready to go for a second round.

After seeing a fresh sperm web from the male, I've been wating to pair these guys again for a couple days. I finally got to do it last night, with a better pairing and more successful inserts.

I just checked in on my two smaller females, one is 2.5" and the other +3". The +3" female just molted recently, it's been locked up for a month now. It looks big, and maybe ready to breed

what size do you start breeding them, both my OBT females are 5" now,
think I had better start looking for a male.....

Currently just 2 large females, By 4" they should be ready to breed. I wouldn't end up with 600 from just two females, I think 200 or maybe a bit more is the max for one female, not totally sure on that one either. If no one wanted to buy them, I could always slap a freebie sign on them, or give me lots of excuses for contest here. They would move fast then.

I can guarantee you will sell them Bird Man, everyone loves OBT's,

I had a delivery yesterday of 2 more, that brings my total to 5 now.....

Oh yes, i'm not worried. but even if it does happen they are obt and I wouldn't mind keeping them lol. But if something else happens I can always ship them all to Mandi.

Well you better just watch yourself missy, I'm sure someone here has your address, and I COULD threaten said person with banning them if they don't provide me with the information I want. And then some strange, unlabled box with no return address MIGHT just show up on your door step, and it MIGHT just contain 100 OBT's and they MIGHT not have come packed in vials, and COULD be running around FREELY in with the packing materials.
