My A.avic wont eat

ive had my A.avic for about three months

and he only ate once in my care..............then he went in premolt

Its been like two or three weeks after his molt

and he still hasnt eatin..............is this normal for avics

My A. Avic doesn't eat that often either, and it's just a 1" inch sling. I don't know if it's normal though. My A. Fasciculata has just molted a couple days ago but I think its been about a month since it has eaten too. How big is your avic?

ummm......around 3 inches

im pretty sure hes a subadult male

Pretty common thing with tarantulas. Sometimes they just fast. Especially roseas. As long as the abdomen is not shriveling I would not worry. Just keep trying until they do decide to eat. Males are even more likely to go on these fasts I've noticed. Make sure you keep water available and that's about all you can do.

both my avics stopped eating about a month ago, with a week they had both molted,
since then they still havent fed,
all I do is mist the tanks and make sure there is water in the tanks for them,
and try once a week with a nice juicy cricket Smile

my avic randomly lost 2 legs and then stopped eating haha avics are crazyy
