Ok, I'm gonna be gettin a couple versicolors from wlf, along with her RCF rosea in the near future, and I just have one question on the versi slings.

I know they need height, climbing surfaces, a litle extra moisture/humidity with good ventiliation and all that...but my question is mainly about misting. Should I mist lightly once a day? Everyother day? Once a week?

The enclosures I will be using are 3" high x 1 1/4" square, with a 7/8" hole drilled in the top and covered with window screen for good ventilation. I have a big slab of corkbark that I can cut some small pieces from to give them a place to hang out. Thanks for the opinions.

Don't let the whole humidity thing freak you out. None of my avic slings got misted more then once or twice a week. I even keep the substrate pretty dry.

All sounds good to me. I mist my versi 1-2 times a week, but for the past 2 weeks I haven't misted anything because we've had only one day without any rain and my room humidity is normally 50-60% but for the last two weeks it's been 80% humidity and above, my roseas must be hating it.

As for the window screen make sure it's the stuff made out of wire, and not the plastic kind, I've heard of T's being able to chew threw it kinda, even the metal stuff for bigger T's.

Yeah the screen is the wire type, I know for a fact that an adult T can chew through screen cause the first OBT I ever had done it one night. The popping of the wire strands woke me up from a dead sleep. She done enough damage that she would have been out in no time. I wrangled her in a vetilated bowl with a screw on lids and sold her the next day to a more experienced keeper at the time. That was the T that taught me to research what your buying BEFORE you buy it. Lol.

LOL lucky for you, that you woke up, If that had been me, the OBT would have gotten out and bit me and I'd still be sleeping. I sleep through everything, my cats have been known to knock over things in the room while I'm sleeping and I have no idea what happens till I wake up in the morning.
