| I'm going to place an order with Ken soon, I'm looking at getting another C. elegans he has some that are 1". The last one I got from ken died about 1-1.5 months after I got it from him. I think it was a case of UAD (Up And Die). Also looking at the P. murinis "GOLD PHASE". He's only got the one, and it's 3.5", and my understanding that they are rare, I can't even find a picture of them on the net, and you know I love OBT, so I HAVE to have it. I'll be PRAYING to the T gods that it's a female. The third T I'm looking at is his 3" E. uatuman, they are pretty and remind me of my blue fangs, since they are the same genus and all lol. Anyone had these before? Can't really find too much about them, other then humid and likes to burrow, and can be aggressive. | |

| It's good that you're getting those rare breeds, you better make some good care sheets up to help out the T community:) | |

| Nice the gold phase sounds interesting. I have just found an amazing deal on a T that looks like an OBT but is more red in color. The dealer has it listed as Usambara red baboon spider Pterinochilus mammillatus. In fact I'm going to be grabbing several things from this guy. I really hope he is legit since these will be coming from East Africa. I think they are WC but for these prices I don't care. Look at his list below. I almost am worried it could be a scam but I dunno. So tempting....... Dealer's List: - Quote :

| yeah those prices are very tempting, but it also doesn't give sizes or n e thing. Have you asked him for references? Has he, and is he able to export to the US? Do you have to get some sort of import licence? | |

| He says he can ship to U.S. and world wide I'm going to try a small "test order" first. I'll let you guys know. We can all get some amazing prices then. The add came from petbugs.com. I'm going to ask him for reviews. I can't lose to much at those prices. Why not take one for the team. I'm only posting this at this board. I just better get some positive good luck vibes sent myway guys/gals! hehe | |

| The "rare" gold murinus will most probably be an Usumbra mountain variant (umv) murinus. There is a couple of pics of one here http://tarantulas.tropica.ru/ru/node/64The P. mamillatus is just an old name for the rcf murinus which you can pick up just about anywhere. Depending on how they are kept, some will appear more orange/red than others. If this East African (which country by the way?) dealer is legit then he will have to export them legally and that will easily slap on an extra $200 - $300 which really isn't worth it for anything on that list. The chances are there will be a minimum order of at least $500 and if he asks you to pay by western union transfer then just walk away. | |

| Well I finally heard back from Ken, and he told me the following.... - Quote :
- "The only one thats strange and me and Mike were wondering if its might be a different species is the gold usumbara....it is not orange and has more white and gold colors. Looks like an orange starburst so we were thinking its just the gold phase."
Mike being Mike AKA "Troll" from ATSHQ. So first I was thinking cool, a kinda mystery T, and then later I got to thinking, since he said it has white on it, I'm thinking maybe lugardi X OBT perhaps? I'll also be getting a OBT freebie since it wasn't with my last shipment from ken, and he's throwing in another freebie because he forgot the OBT last time. My choices are smithi, emelia or another OBT. I think with ordering 10 OBT from wlf, plus the freebie I'm already getting, and since I don't have either an emelia or a smithi I'll pick one of those two, but I'm undecided right now.

Well considering that I just had my MM pass away, I have two large +5" females, and one 5" MM. Then I have two other females, one of which is 4" and maybe getting ready to molt. Then I have 3 slings in communal, plus the TINY little one you send me with the scorps. So a total of 9. Also not counting the 10 I ordered from wlf, with them, it will bring my total up to 19, Plus I'm getting one as a freebie from Ken once I place my order. So that will give me a nice even 20 OBT!

| Well I just placed my order, after having some problems with the site, giving me a weird error message because it couldn't connect to the server. I finally got the order placed, and with 10 minutes to spare, if it wasn't in before 5PM, then they wouldn't have been shipped tomorrow, and I would have to wait another day. As for the freebie, I decided to go with the emilia, I don't really care for either of them, but I like the emilia more, and we'll see how it looks when I get it, who knows, it may end up on the FS list. | |
