| nice! i have a western ribbon snake, which is almost exactly like a garden snake ok put it on eco earth, and give it some wood to hide on/under then give it a big plate then put water in the plate, then put small goldfish in it i heard that garden snakes could eat pinkies, but mine never touches them | |

| First off revolt kid there is no such thing as a garden snake it is a garter snake. And second i would honestly reccomend just letting it go, it most likely came from the wild and garter snakes aren't very good, or cool pets. If you want a snake get something cooler like a type of boa or python, or a colubrid like corn snakes and kingsnakes.
But if you decide to keep it, I would put it on aspen with 2 wooden hides one on each side. Give it a water dish, and you can either feed fish, nightcrawlers, or pinkies to older ones. Don't feed goldfish though they can carry parasites. I would stick with guppies. Hope this helps | |

| It would have been a great help, unfortunately the snake passed on last night despite all efforts to save it. Like my husband said, it must have been injured to have ended up crawling into a Walmart store to begin with. It seems the automatic doors gave the poor thing a compression injury. Yesterday morning we noticed she could not move the last 4 inches of her body. Upon feeling it there was a large hard mass and discolored belly scales. Judging by the color I would say it was internal bleeding. She passed quietly surrounded by all of us in a sink full of warm water. (Her head was kept out of it) | |
