UPDATE: THE SAC IS HERE!
copy/past from another post of mine....
Well my 3rd sac ever is finally here!
quick recap
#1 A. avic with 41 1st and 2nd instars
#2 G. rosea rcf dud with all dried up eggs.
and now #3 C. pentalore (though most are calling them C. fasciatum) This lady is quite large, she molted shortly after I got her and her molt was 5" so she has to be bigger then that I'm sure, but never put the tape near her. I was able to get her bred and she got a BIG booty and never burrowed.
I ended up digging out a corner for her thinking she would like to burrow, but all she did was make the hole bigger and sit down there. She would web up around the top of the burrow and sit, then take it down and wonder around. So all I could do is wait and wait and wait. Then 2 days ago I noticed that her little corner was completely webbed over in thick white silk, I took my flashlight praying it wasn't another molt. I could see movement but not much. So I waited and that night it was still had silk over the opening. So I went to bed, woke up the next morning and still covered in silk.
Then finally I woke up this AM and the silk is done and is now wrapped around a nice big sac, looks a little loose to me, but hopefully mama knows best, and at least she is holding onto it unlike the rosea.
So wish me luck, and any tips from people who have bred this species would be appreciated.
