| i moved my new p. metallica sling into a little bit larger deli cup and added a small amount of coco fiber. i just wanted to know if this cup is to big and also how do you figure on the humidity and heat. my room temp right now is about 78-82 and humidity is about 50 on average. | |

| This is much better, add a piece of cork bark sticking up against the side so it has something to climb onto and web to. How I measure temp and humidity, is with a combo temp/humidity gauge in my room. My room stays at 80 of just above during the day and falls a bit at night which is natural for them anyways. We've been having a real wet summer this year so my humidity hasn't been below 75%, but I just mist the ones who like it wet 2-3 times a week. | |

| thanks for the help. i can tell its very humid in there now. the coco fiber was damp when i put it in. also what size prey should i be feeding. i measured her when she was in that typical sprawled out pokie position and she was about 1.25 in. sorry for all the questions, i payed alot of money (200.00) and i dont want anything to happen. especially if i can prevent it. | |

| I try to feed my slings crickets that are at least half their size. Some slings, like my A. Versicolor, will eat crickets bigger than they are, but its best to start small. Feed it 2-3 times a week. And if it doesn't eat, be sure to take the food out. | |

| Feed 1/4" crickets, or better yet, get yourself a roach colony, your other reptiles will love the roaches as well I'm sure. If it doesn't get the food item in about 30-45 min take it out. If you leave a food item in there and the T molts, the cricket/roach might eat parts of your newly molted T. | |

| That size it'll molt 4-6 weeks from the last one. It might be in pre molt. If you don't have the molt schedule than it is a very high probability that it isn't eating because it is getting ready for some new blue jeans. | |

| setup looks great, as someone else said, I would add a stick and a leaf for cover and climbing, definately sounds like it is going into a molt, good luck with it | |

| Ohh and one more thing, once the little guy molts, you can't feed it for a week, you need to give it time to harden up again before feeding, make sure the fangs are black. | |

| sometimes slings will burrow instead of climbing. Also if it's like a web mat, it could be getting ready to molt. | |
