Hello everyone,

I've just started culturing these guys myself and I've been using them as feeders for my tiny slings. They are also excellent for other small critters such as poison dart frogs who eat crickets/roaches. Culturing these guys is even easier then roaches. You take a deli cup, add in black eyed beans and weevils and your done. You don't have to feed them or give water. Adults breed, lay eggs on the beans, and die shortly after, while the eggs hatch and the larvae eat the bean as I'm told. I do poke small pin holes in the lid for them, although some people don't even do that.

IMO they are much better then fruit flies and a tad bigger. But they are also able to climb, so some say they are best for arboreal T's, but I give them to by B. vagan slings who burrow and the weevils climb to the top of the vial, and fall down to the ground and this really gets the attention of the T's.

Cultures will be freshly started, meaning I just added the weevils to new cultures, but by the time they get to you, the eggs will already have been laid and possibly hatching into larvae. There is a short period between blooms of weevils, so you will want to stagger cultures to have a constant supply if you have lots of slings or other critters your feeding. I started out with 2 cultures and I have wayyyyyy more weevils then I can use, so I figured I'd start some cultures and share the weevil love.

Cultures are $5.00 each PM me if your interested, I accept PP.

Here are some pics I took today of one of the cultures up for sale, Hope you can see the weevils, they are tiny...

I've only got 5 cultures up for sale, if I can find more deli cups, or something else to put them in, I'll be making more. I could feed 5 times as many B. vagan slings as I have now(32) with the amount of beetles that have hatched out.

I've offered these here first, but tomorrow I'm posting in a couple other places.

Well I'm sure I'll still have my personal cultures around for a long time, so if you ever need them LMK.
