| Ok, I finally got some time to upload some pics of the new additions that I just got from Ken. First up is the one labeled as the OBT "gold phase", but doesn't look like an OBT to me.... My C. elegans 1" and unsure of sex, looks female, I don't see any hooks or palps, but the vent area is TINY. Also this little one thinks it's arboreal, I'm always seeing it at the top of it's cube. OBT sling, that was a freebie I was owed from my last order with ken... B.emilia another freebie I Was given because the OBT was forgotten in the last order, can't even tell what it is yet. This bugger was the HARDEST one to get pics of, it refused to stand still. The E. uatuman, is looking male to me and is in need of a molt. | |

| Well I'm not sure, Mike and ken weren't really sure themselves, and said it could be another species all together. | |

TCF? Tan Color Form? Thanks very much for the ID, Now I just have to make up my mind what sex it is, given the size of it 4.5"+ , and myself wanting to be hopefull I see female, no hooks or palps either. It could use a bit of fattening up, and maybe a nice molt too. Wonder if I can find more of these, first one I've ever seen and a very pretty spider. If I can't find another, what do you think about breeding it to my male? Or if it's a male, wait for it to mature and breed it to a orange female, if I still can't find the same color form by then?

| It wouldn't be hybridizing as such as they are the same species however it would be intraspecific hybridization which IMO is just as bad. The hobby really doesn't need any more man made intergrades muddying the waters. | |

so thankyou for clearing that up guys I've heard this too, and have heard mixed opinions on this as well. The ones who think it's ok, well at least some, say that when the babies are being sold, that the seller should let buyers know they are crossed.
