| my g rosea dropped a sac about 3 days ago. i checked on my girl today and it seems she is dragging her entire egg sack out of her hide. she has it near the entrance but completely out. has anyone else experienced this. i was just wondering if this is a sign that she may eat her sack. i guess i thought she would leave it in one spot except for turning it. well since my tanks are in the living room i covered the sides of her tank with some black construction paper so she wouldn't be disturbed. just thought i would see what you guys thought.
thanks | |

| they do tend to roll the egg sacs about, and the reason why she is dragging it with her is that she doesnt want to leave it alone, I suppose it is like us leaving our babies in the car when we go shopping!!! it might be worth covering the whole tank with a towel so that she feels a bit more secure, and keep a close eye on her, it is a bit early to pull the sac at the moment, if you did, the job would be yours to turn the sac, and incubate the eggs, getting the humidity and ventilation right, basically be mum to rather alot of babies | |

| Yes rolling the sac helps to keep the eggs from sticking together, and keeps the babies inside of the eggs from getting stuck to the side of the egg. If that happens they wont be able to hatch, and die. Also if it was a T with a burrow or something and you saw her pushing it up and down the burrow, she would be trying to regulate the temps of the eggs to make sure they don't get too color or too hot. She knows what she's doing, just give her time with her sac and get your incubator ready. | |

| Mine laid a clutch on the 18th, she came out of her burrow once for a quick drink, then went back in her burrow, and webbed up again. I just took pics of her sac, which she rolled near the side of the tank. Usually she keeps it behind her where I can't see it. | |
